Church calendar announcements may be submitted to the Herald by mail, ATTENTION:

CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS CALENDAR, by phone (764-9031) or hand-delivered to the office. Since the length of our church calendar is determined by the amount of space available, not all submitted items will appear. Your article may start at the bottom, but will move up as the event date approaches. Church calendar items are printed for free. Sometimes we may not be able to post your ad as specified. If your ad needs to be printed on certain days or worded in a specific way, it should run as a paid ad.

Items submitted for ongoing events will last for two weeks and may be resubmitted every three months.

Saturday

GOD TALKS, a non-denominational ministry, will meet Saturday at 10 a.m. in the multipurpose hall of Statesboro New Covenant Church, Gentilly Road. Brooklet’s Todd Belcher will share his personal testimony in “All Things Become New, A Miraculous Story of Salvation.” Use the side entrance.

Sunday

In-person services will be held Sunday at Statesboro New Covenant Church beginning at 10 a.m. Services can also be accessed through the church’s webpage at sncconline.com.

SERVICE will be held on Sunday at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church, Mallard Pond Road, beginning at 10 a.m. with Sunday School followed by the regular worship service at 11 a.m. The service can also be viewed via the church’s YouTube channel.

HOMECOMING will take place on May 15 at the Baptist Church of Macedonia starting at 10:30 a.m. with gospel music singing. The worship service will follow at 11 a.m. with Bro. Travis Cowart as speaker. A covered lunch will follow.

The HYBRID SERVICE (in-person and online) for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Statesboro will take place Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with Michael Neilson, Georgia Southern University Department of Psychology, as speaker. Events to come

The free used clothing distribution will take place on May 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, at the corner of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Country Club Road.

The CHURCH’s 143rd Anniversary Celebration will be held May 22 at Banks Creek Early Baptist Church, Banks Creek Church Road, beginning at 11 a.m. Social distancing will be practiced.

Current events

YOUTH SUNDAY will be held every first Sunday at the Original First African Baptist Church, Westside Road, starting at 9.30am with Sunday School. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.

THE TRADITIONAL SUNDAY Service will be held every second Sunday at the Original First African Baptist Church, Westside Road, from 9.30am with Sunday School. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.

AN EARLY SERVICE will be held every third Sunday at the Original First African Baptist Church, Westside Road, from 8.30am with the worship service. Brunch will be served.

SERVICE with Communion will be held every fourth Sunday at the Original First African Baptist Church, Westside Road, from 9.30am with Sunday School. Worship will follow at 10:30 a.m.

BIBLE STUDY is held Wednesdays at Saint Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church, Mallard Pond Road, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please note the new schedule.

IN-PERSON services for the First Original African Baptist Church, Westside Road, will take place every second and fourth Sunday from 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed via the church’s Facebook page. Services for the first and third Sundays begin at 10:30 a.m. and can be viewed through the church’s Facebook page.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH will be held on Sundays, 11:15 a.m. to noon, at Clito Baptist Church. For children from 4 years old to 6th grade. There will be Bible stories, songs and crafts.

BOYS TO Men Mentoring Sessions take place every fourth Saturday at The City of David Worship Assembly Inc., Institute Street, starting at 8am. Breakfast will be served. Transportation provided. Social distancing will be practiced. For more information, call Bro. Mitchell at (912) 486-3210.
