“We manage stock levels on the app to ensure reasonable delivery times, which means testing will take place both online and offline. In the event of a stock shortage, customers are encouraged to return every 30 minutes.
From store to your doorstep in 10 minutes, the online supermarket hopes to relieve some of the stress and anxiety currently associated with locating a rapid COVID-19 test.
“Like groceries, RAT testing is currently an essential item for most households. Everyone should have access to these essential items,” he said.
“Our mission is to bring customers the items they need, when they need them. We’ve seen price increases across the board when it comes to RATs, but SEND is definitely keeping things affordable.
“We recognize the importance of access to RATs for the people of Sydney and Melbourne at this time and have therefore done our best to secure the supply as much as possible, in order to serve the people of our catchment areas.”
SEND has also assured consumers that the popular five-packs will also be available to order later this month.
“Due to the nature of the shortage, we are working closely with our suppliers to source a range of different packaging sizes, styles and brands,” Walsh added.
