Online auction supports Abbotsford’s BC Agriculture in the Classroom – Abbotsford News

The BC Agriculture Council (BCAC) is hosting an online silent auction with over 100 items by April 3.

The BC Agribusiness Gala online auction includes items such as entertainment, accommodations, gift cards, memorabilia and more.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation (BCAITC) of Abbotsford.

The not-for-profit charity strives to introduce BC agriculture and food to more than half a million BC students each year.

For 30 years, BCAITC has provided fun and educational programs, resources and activities to help students enjoy farm-to-table food.

BCAITC chief executive Pat Tonn of Abbotsford said proceeds from the auction will help expand the organization’s footprint “to bring exciting new agriculture and food programs and resources to students from all corners of Province “.

Online auction items include:

• animal food for one year

• Abbotsford Canucks tickets

• golf excursions on a variety of BC courses

• Stays at various locations including Quaaout Lodge and Spa and Sandman Hotel Group

• VIP tour, tasting and dinner at Quails’ Gate Estate Winery

• household items like a self-watering planter and generator

• a wide variety of books by Canadian authors

• dozens of gift baskets and gift cards

Visit can.givergy.com/bcaggala until 5 p.m. on April 3 to bid. The auction is made possible with the support of BC Dairy and the BC Milk Marketing Board.
