TL; DR

Samsung and Discovery have teamed up to film a short wildlife documentary using the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Two videos are available now: the documentary and an accompanying behind-the-scenes short. Everything in both videos is filmed using only a Galaxy S21 Ultra with no additional lens.

As there is no Galaxy Note phone this year, the Galaxy S21 Ultra remains the best camera ever for a Samsung smartphone. Its 108 MP main sensor and dual telephoto setup make it incredibly versatile.

Our opinion : S21 Ultra review

But can a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra shoot an animal documentary? Samsung seems to think so, because it has teamed up with Discovery to do it. Wildlife photographer Yashas Narayan and his team used a pair of Galaxy S21 Ultra phones to shoot tigers in the wild.

Samsung has now released the documentary which you can check out. We have reflected it below. A little further down, we also mirrored a behind-the-scenes short that proves the cameraman has, in fact, only used a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra the entire time.

Notably, the cameraman did not use additional lenses. The phone is housed in a grip system to give it more control (and prevent it from dropping the slippery glass slab). Otherwise, however, the phone is as it is when you take it out of the retail box.

Check out the videos below.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Wildlife Documentary

After watching the short, it’s pretty easy to tell that everything was shot on a phone. It just doesn’t have the clarity of a professional camera, especially when Narayan or the cameraman zoom in on subjects. Even in the video’s thumbnail, the grass the tiger is walking on looks like a hazy haze.

That being said, the close-ups of Narayan in the car are crystal clear. Image stabilization is also pretty amazing considering the car is bouncing up and down all the time.

Check out the behind-the-scenes clip below if you’d like to learn more about how it was done.

(NOPE)

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) on Tuesday expressed its support for the adoption of direct primaries and the electronic transmission of the results of the legislative elections of 2023.

The party’s national chairman, Yabagi Sani, told Abuja during the inauguration of the planning committee for the party’s 2022 national convention that the electronic transmission of results would ensure free and fair elections.

He instructed INEC to resist an alleged attempt by malicious groups to reject the proposed electoral law amendment bill.

“We in the ADP see the 2023 general election as a turning point in the country’s political history.

“This will be a turning point from the decadence that characterized the previous elections, as we can see the clamor from all Nigerians for a change.

“In 2023, the direct and electronic primary transmission of election results should be seen as an effective panacea for the crises that have hampered efforts for free and fair elections in Nigeria,” he said.

He urged the National Assembly to veto President Muhammadu Buhari on the electoral bill if the outcome of his approval of the bill was not favorable.

Sani said the conduct of the ADP congresses and its national convention will be conducted through direct primaries.

He stressed that the ADP was not opposed to direct primaries and the electronic transmission of results since the result of an election reflected the wishes of the electorate.

He added that only those who plan to manipulate the elections would find it difficult to get rid of the old system.

Sani explained that this could be because the old system gave them the latitude to rig and deprive the electorate of their basic rights to choose their leaders.

A team of experienced climbers, highliners and riggers pulled off a stunt for the ages last week when five of them jumped off the top of the Leaning Tower in Yosemite National Park to replicate the legend of the extreme sports Dan Osman, who died trying to do the same thing 23 years ago.

Led by highliner Ryan Jenks, 37, of Lodi, who produces extreme sports videos and other content for his website CommentNOT2.com, the group decided to pay homage to Osman and rekindle his memory “to rekindle the fire that Dan Osman has set in us,” Jenks said this week in a telephone interview.

Osman, a prolific solo, cordless climber and world record holder in jumping based near Lake Tahoe, died at the age of 35 on November 23, 1998, attempting to break his own record on a 1,100 foot jump from the Leaning Tower.

The late daredevil, widely known as “Dano”, made a name for himself in extreme sports for over a decade, surviving multiple solo speed climbs without a rope, performing various rope jumps record high from cliffs and bridges, and appearing in the popular “Masters of Stone video series.”

“All of his crazy stunts inspired me as a young climber,” Jenks said. “I don’t do solo free play but I really found the skipping rope fascinating. I rehearsed his famous tug-of-war on the Yosemite grandstand in the fall of 2017 and four years later I must have taught myself how to do it.

Some in the climbing community viewed Osman and his exploits as reckless and foolish. Regardless of the risks and the mixed reputation of their inspiration, Jenks and his team decided this fall to celebrate Osman’s daring and vision at the Leaning Tower by surviving it.

“What he did was crazy,” Jenks said. “What we did was the safest rope jump I have ever done. We only fell 550 feet. We have a safety margin there. We weren’t trying to beat his record. We were trying to revive his memory.

To recreate a safer version of Osman’s Leaning Tower skipping rope, Jenks and others – including Alonso Rodriguez, 26, Greg Kommel, 27, Jose Oliva, 32, Ryan Sheridan, 29, Andrea Nicole, 39, and Michael Melner, 40 – worked several days over several weeks in November.

First, they decided to climb a 700-foot aid road called Roulette to reach the top of the Leaning Tower, 1,200 feet above the boulder fields below.

Help climbers use ropes, equipment and slings to climb rock faces; free climbers only use their equipment as protection, to catch up in the event of a fall. Roulette is rated A4, for severe risk and exposure, with a common 60-100 foot drop potential and rough landings well below.

“It was very difficult,” Jenks said. “More difficult than we thought. “

Then they went down and climbed the nearby Fifi buttress to install a horizontal line between it and the leaning tower to which they could tie their skipping ropes and make sure they did not sway in the cliffs in below.

Unlike bungee jumping, rope jumping on climbing ropes induces wide swings once the jumper reaches the end of the rope. Climbing ropes stretch, but not as much as rubberized bungee jump ropes, so Jenks and his team provided swings up to 100 yards in each direction.

“You can’t connect a jump rope directly to the cliff face because you would swing back and hit the wall on any vertical or overhanging cliff,” Jenks said. “We swung the equivalent of a football field in one direction and 100 meters in the other direction. The slackline was essential to get us away from the wall at the bottom of the swing.

These people are also highliners, so when mounting the horizontal line, Rodriguez successfully crossed it with a harness and without falling. He named the line “Flossing the Sky,” a phrase originally coined by Osman to describe the sounds he heard when he jumped rope more than two decades ago.

Jenks, Kommel, Oliva and Sheridan were among those who entered the void on November 23 and jumped from the Leaning Tower to hear for themselves those sounds of dental floss and the whistling of wind in the rope. Their free falls extended over 550 vertical feet.

Their redundant security systems included metal hardware, straps and ropes. Everything worked, including the dynamic engineering they had to work in to make sure they didn’t hit anything, including rock faces and pine trees.

“You don’t want to hit the cliff or swing off the cliff, and you definitely don’t want to hit a 150-foot tree,” Jenks said, adding a grim joke, “It’s really embarrassing to die if nothing fails. “

Another joke Jenks often tells is, “The rule of skipping is to take second.

“The reality is that we throw a bag of stones to test it first,” he explained. “This is not a thrill ride in an amusement park where you are guaranteed a result. This is the ultimate test in rig engineering and climbing rigging. If you thought that thing was good and it isn’t, you will die. It’s a puzzle where you have to collect all the pieces, or you die. “

Articles on Osman online have titles like “Terminal Velocity”, “A Daring Young Man’s Odyssey” and “The Precipitous World of Dan Osman” and a book about him is titled “Fall of the Phantom Lord: Climbing and the Face of Fear. ”

Celebrity free soloist Alex Honnold was among those who rehearsed some of Osman’s ropeless climbs, including Bear’s Reach on Lover’s Leap near Lake Tahoe.

Jenks and his team had no sponsors for their tribute to Dan Osman at the Leaning Tower.

“Zero sponsor, no money,” Jenks said. “It would cost around $ 30,000 to buy all the necessary equipment, cameras and lenses, but we already had most of them. We did it because we were thrilled. We wanted to pay tribute to the inspiration that Dan Osman gave us. He used to speed solo solo, climb quickly without a rope, and he timed himself. It’s crazy. We wanted to honor Dan Osman by repeating his move, in all safety.

Brian Winstead, PMP was a fan of flexible manufacturing before it was cool. The senior director of facilities and engineering at Sarepta Therapeutics, Winstead, defines the term somewhat esoteric in broad strokes before detailing a few concrete examples. “Flexible manufacturing is the design of a facility that allows multiple products to be manufactured in a single space without too much change or modification in that space,” he says.

This is a very different paradigm than the traditional purpose-built manufacturing space, where suites are designed and equipment purchased to make Product “X” and Product “X” only. This approach may have worked for large, deep bio-pockets, but when programs fail as they so often do, it could spell the end of a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company with limited shots on target. But while flexible manufacturing makes optionality easier, Winstead admits it’s a love / hate relationship.

Love: speed to market, low investment

Brian Winstead, PMP, Senior Director, Facilities and Engineering, Sarepta Therapeutics

Beyond agility to change, flexible manufacturing environments facilitate speed to market. They are “picked up” faster than factories with fixed infrastructure. It takes less effort and expense to change them. And that’s important, says Winstead, in an advanced therapy manufacturing space in which speed to market is critically important to both patients and investors. Where it takes five years or more to build a traditional facility, develop a drug and get it approved, even in a fast-track setting, Winstead says the lead time can be cut in half or better when using pods and pods. prefabricated installations. “When you go to your board or other financial stakeholders with the proposal to build a flexible facility, you tell them you can build it faster, which ultimately puts your drug on the shelf. market faster, which means you’re on a faster path to both incomes and meeting patient needs, ”he says.

Financially, Winstead says flexible manufacturing facilities are generally not as expensive as stick-built facilities. “I can walk into an existing warehouse with the space and utilities I need, slip in single-use pods and tech, and I didn’t have to invest in a brand new property, dig the floor and build from the bottom up. ”Single-use technologies, he says, also reduce or eliminate the cost and time of cleaning-in-place (CIP) and personnel associated with stainless steel pipes, tanks , filters and fittings These ongoing costs include consumable chemicals and disposal of highly regulated waste.

The redeveloped warehouse scenario suggested by Winstead also offers scaling benefits. These properties can be purchased at a fraction of the cost of new construction, which justifies purchasing more square footage than needed for a clinical staging as part of a longer term marketing strategy. As more product manufacturing is guaranteed to support larger clinical studies and eventually commercialization, pods can be added to meet clinical or epidemiological needs without the excessive capital, time and resource requirements associated with the additions. and physical constructions. Conceptually, flexible manufacturing facilities allow rooms and walls to be replaced with “pods” comprising equipment that requires a considerably smaller footprint. Pulling panels to accommodate growth, says Winstead, is much more effective than building walls to accommodate growth.

At Sarepta, the flexible manufacturing approach has also supported the company’s flexible approach to strategic planning. “We were buying parts, long lead time items such as fillers, tangential flow filtration equipment and bioreactors before we even selected a property,” he says. “We started integrating clean rooms into the equipment even before we had selected a site. Then we were able to make sure that the site we chose was large enough, had loading docks, lighting, ceiling heights, utilities, etc. And when we found this site, we were able to connect it quickly.

Hate: personalization issues and breakage

There are qualifiers, of course. The value of flexible manufacturing is limited if the expectation is infinite flexibility. “If I design a flexible cell and gene therapy facility, it should be able to do whatever our cell and gene therapy developers want it to do with little modification. It won’t be able to produce over-the-counter tablets, ”says Winstead. Additionally, while modular and “podular” options have come a long way, highly customized constructions may justify more traditional installations. And, of course, single-use consumables are subject to the constraints of a highly stressed supply chain. Winstead says developing relationships with qualified secondary and tertiary suppliers is a prerequisite, as is stocking what you can. But even then, maintaining the supply is a full-time job.

Finally, if modular and single-use technologies are new to your business, be prepared for things to turn as badly as you might expect. It takes time to understand and factor in the nuances of single-use consumables, and during that time, ruptures, nonconformities and the following CAPAs are to be expected. Winstead offers examples. “Instead of buying a tank with an agitator, you buy a bag with an agitator,” he says. “When you’re done with it, you dispose of it in the proper way. It sounds simple enough, but you need specialized training for operators who need to understand that the impeller inside the bag should be removed so as not to cut the bag. If he cuts the bag, you’ve lost product on the floor and the safety protocol that goes with it. The same can be said of the tubes if they are not properly welded, and when they are removed from the platform, they start to leak. Sometimes you get faulty bags from the manufacturer. If you have a product worth a million dollars in that bag, how are you going to manage the risk of contamination? “

Winstead says it’s a love / hate relationship with one-time supplies. “It’s great when it works. It’s terrible when it doesn’t work. There is no middle ground, “he says. But despite these risks, he remains adept at flexible manufacturing.” The faster we can go and the more flexible we can be, the more people we can save. this is, this is really what attracted me to this market. We are curing the disease or preventing it from continuing, and that is the important thing. If there is an opportunity to make these manufacturing facilities more flexible and do it faster, then that’s what we should be doing.

December 6, 2021 | 00h00

MANILA, Philippines – The 1Sambayan Coalition yesterday lent its support to news agencies sued for defamation by Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi over coverage of the Malampaya gas field deal.

In a statement, the coalition that approved Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential candidacy said it “supports ABS-CBN, Business Mirror, BusinessWorld, GMA News Online, Manila Bulletin, Philstar Global and Rappler and the mandate constitutionally guaranteed media to provide information to the general public, as well as the protection of our civil liberties foremost among which is freedom of speech and of the press.

1Sambayan said he “opposes any action to suppress freedom of the press” because he called out Cusi for his “baseless and unnecessary libel cases” in the media for their reporting on the “redemption of the Malampaya gas field, much criticized “.

“Cusi’s action aims to stifle the free flow of information to the public, employing legal harassment tactics against media organizations. His trial aims to silence the media and keep our citizens in the dark, ”the coalition added.

1Sambayan urged Cusi not to “shoot the messenger” because he called the deal “a citizen’s concern.”

“We encourage you to voice your side of the problem instead. This is how democracy works, ”the coalition said.

Cusi filed a defamation complaint as he criticized the media for reporting on Udenna’s acquisition of Dennis Uy of Chevron and Shell’s stake in Malampaya.

Cusi accused the media of malice, although the reports simply cite the complaint filed with the Ombudsman’s office about the acquisition and include Cusi’s previous statements and Udenna’s view on the matter.

Business journalists slam suits

Business journalists nationwide have criticized recent libel lawsuits filed by Cusi and Uy over the controversial takeover of the Malampaya gas field.

In a statement released yesterday, the Association of Business Journalists of the Philippines (EJAP) stood alongside the seven news organizations facing defamations by Cusi and Uy last week.

The EJAP is made up of business journalists and editors from print, online and television media.

Two of the EJAP members are among the journalists facing defamation proceedings.

The EJAP argued that the defamation complaints filed against journalists constitute an attack on press freedom and are aimed at intimidating the media.

“It sends a chilling effect as it makes it clear that the media would anger government officials and businessmen alike even if they did their best to make sure their stories are factual, accurate and objective,” said the EJAP.

He argued that the media are simply doing their job and that is, reporting on the basis of the facts at hand.

“Secretary Cusi is a public official and therefore comes under scrutiny,” the group said.

The EJAP stressed that this is not a simple transaction but of great public concern.

The assets involved are also crucial to the country’s energy security, thus deserving close scrutiny by the media without interference or undue threats.

The EJAP said the Cusi camp claimed the reports accused them of corruption, when journalists and editors simply based their reports on a press conference, a press release and documents from those who testified. corruption complaints against them.

“This latest attack on journalists shows the urgency of decriminalizing defamation to defend the public interest by controlling those who are accountable,” added the EJAP.

At the end of 2006, Jose Miguel Arroyo, then first gentleman, husband of then president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, filed criminal defamation proceedings for a total amount of more than 70 million pesos against more than 40 journalists from the written press. , audiovisual and online, many of which were linked to allegations in the media that Arroyo helped rig the hotly contested 2004 national elections, which the Arroyo camp strongly denied.

A month later, 36 journalists filed a counter-action against Arroyo, accusing him of harassing the country’s media, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

5]Delete the Rocket League cache

The Rocket League cache is located in the following directory on your Windows system:

C:My DocumentsMy GamesRocket LeagueTAGameCache

This file stores frequently used information and helps speed up some processes, making the game a bit faster. This information is frequently changed and, over time, it is possible that it becomes corrupted, thus triggering the error in view. In this case, to correct the error, you can delete this file – it will be rebuilt the next time the game is launched.

To delete RL cache on your Windows 11/10 PC, follow these steps:

  • Make sure Rocket league does not work.
  • hurry Windows key + E to open File Explorer.

7]Disconnect other devices from the network

If you are playing Rocket League and at the same time streaming videos and downloading files, both can hog bandwidth and slow down your connection speed, which can cause issues with Rocket League. This slow connection speed occurs even if you are streaming or downloading to a device other than the one you are playing on, which can cause matches and game servers to become disconnected.

This solution requires that you stop streams and downloads and also disconnect other devices on the network to improve connection performance.

8]Check Internet / network connection

This solution requires you to check the current status of the server at steamstat.us to see if the site is down. If the server status is offline, your only option is to wait for the server to come back online. On the other hand, if the server is online but the problem persists, you can troubleshoot the network and internet connection issues on your Windows 11/10 gaming device to resolve the connectivity issues that might be the issue here. If your computer cannot connect to the internet at all, you can try the full internet repair tool and see if it helps.

If this is not the case for you, you can move on to the next solution.

9]Use Google’s public DNS

This solution just requires you to switch to Google Public DNS. If the problem persists, you can try the next solution.

10]Use a wired connection

A wired connection is more reliable and can eliminate interference. It is therefore recommended to play Rocket League using a wired (Ethernet) connection from your PC directly to your modem or router.

If you use Wi-Fi to connect, you can try the following tips to improve your connection:

  • Place the wireless access point and the machine in the same room.
  • Disconnect any device that is not in use from the Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure your internet device is not obstructed by your computer.
  • Make sure the channel selection is set to Automatic in the router’s administration settings (refer to the router’s manual).

Hope this helps you!

In latest Round Town column, CBS Sports news features famous Gunn High football team, Palo Alto police increase their presence in shopping areas this holiday season, and Stanford Medicine joins to a four-year long COVID study.

REMEMBER THE TITANS … Gunn High SchoolThe football team has had a less than ideal end to the season, but the players have much to celebrate.

The Titans played strong and recorded just two losses this fall, but a tie at three for the El Camino Division title and Santa Clara Valley Track League regulations deprived the team of an automatic place to the playoffs.

Nonetheless, Gunn’s football found itself in the national spotlight on November 28 when CBS Sports broadcast a story about the team. The Special 6 minutes, entitled “Courage in Sport: Gridiron’s Greatness“, presents interviews with the coach Jason miller and student-athletes.

Miller, who became the team’s coach in 2018, previously led soccer teams in Southern California and worked as an educator in downtown Los Angeles. “I left because I felt I needed to make changes on a different level in a different area,” Miller said. He’s taken the team to new heights, as shown by his 25-10 record under his leadership, and many students surveyed see Miller as a father figure. “We’re an overwhelming system with very academic kids, and it’s become a badge of pride and a badge of honor,” he said.

The players are also defenders off the pitch, as evidenced by their participation in protests that have supported the Black lives matter and Stop asian hate movements. “They’re all my brothers now”, fullback and linebacker Denzel davis noted.

ADDITIONAL SECURITY … Black Friday didn’t just get holiday shoppers out looking for bargains on Stanford Mall, it also attracted a large number of police officers from Palo Alto.

Officers including a platform parked on the sidewalk next to the Nordstrom department store with an agent standing next to the entrance, have completed their presence in the wake of recent armed robberies that have targeted high-end retailers.

Nordstrom stores in other Bay Area locations have been among retailers that have been hit by thieves in recent weeks. Police lieutenant Brian Philippe said this week that shoppers shouldn’t be surprised if they see a large number of police officers at local malls. It is not necessarily a sign of a crime; officers are there to prevent such crimes. Security guards from the Palo Alto Police Department and the Stanford Mall are likely to continue their visible presence at least during the holidays, Philip said.

IN SEARCH OF ANSWERS … Stanford Medicine the researchers are among 30 teams who joined a long-term COVID-19 study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. The goals of the COVID research to improve recovery are to identify risk factors, come up with prevention and treatment plans, and explore why some recover faster than others, according to a Stanford Medicine November 22 article.

The institution plans to work with 900 people who have survived COVID-19, including those who exhibited persistent symptoms from their initial infection. “The data suggests that between 10% and 30% of people who have had an acute infection with SARS-CoV-2 show symptoms for at least a month,” according to the article.

Long-lasting symptoms of COVID-19 include pain, fatigue, headache, brain fog, anxiety, shortness of breath, depression, chronic cough, fever, and problems sleeping.

“It has been clearly shown that even those with initially mild COVID-19 symptoms can contract a long COVID,” said Dr Upinder Singh, professor of infectious diseases and geographic medicine, microbiology and immunology.

Singh is one of the study’s principal investigators at Stanford. She is joined by Dr PJ Utz, professor of immunology and rheumatology; Dr Catherine Blish, professor of infectious diseases; and Dr Yvonne Maldonado, professor of pediatric infectious diseases and epidemiology and population health.

Participants will meet researchers every year for four years. Stanford Medicine is expected to receive nearly $ 15 million over the duration of the study.

I recently built a new Intel PC for myself and was blown away at the cost of some of these new components. Right now, Intel and NVIDIA hold titles for the best gaming processors and GPUs on the market, but sourcing their products can be a nightmare. We should all know by now how hard it is to get hold of an RTX 30 series video card at retail. It is practically impossible to connect online. On eBay, an RTX 3080 video sells for over 1600 $ (if you forgot, the MSRP of an RTX 3080 starts at $ 700). Your best bet would be to walk into a local Best Buy and hope your trip wasn’t just a waste of time.

It’s not even finished. Intel has released its new 12th gen Alder Lake processors, and they’ve proven to outperform the AMD Ryzen 7 and 9. Processors are readily available, but the costs for Z690 motherboards and DDR5 RAM are downright ludicrous. . DDR5, in particular, cannot be found anywhere other than eBay. 32 GB of RAM costs it … and I’m not kidding … $ 900. The best option is to stick with DDR4, but there aren’t as many DDR4 cards available, and you’ll still have to pay over $ 200. The last nitpick is the cooler compatibility. The vast majority of existing chillers, both air and AIO, do not come equipped with an LGA 1700 bracket. You will need to email your chiller manufacturer and request one. For many of these manufacturers, there is a shortage of LGA 1700 mounting brackets, and again, this will delay your build. Time is money.

Enter Alienware Aurora R13 Gaming PC

This makes these new Dell Alienware Aurora R13 gaming PCs all the more tempting. Bluntly dubbed the “R13”, Dell’s new flagship gaming PC features a number of improvements in aesthetics, quality of life and performance over its predecessors. In terms of durability, the Alienware Aurora R13 is the first Alienware PC to be equipped with the latest 12th generation Intel Alder Lake processors. This is paired with a Z690 based motherboard that accepts DDR5 RAM. This proves that DDR5 RAM actually exists in nature. Your video card options are also great; choose your choice of RTX 30 series video card, from RTX 3060 Ti to RTX 3090, own expense of course. Perhaps the best news? According to Dell’s website, these configurations ship in mid-December.

Normally there would be naysayers claiming that you could build the same quality rig for a cheaper price. As long as you know how to find deals, it is certainly not far from the truth. But we live in a whole different world, knowing that supply and demand have killed price sensitivity. And we also have to take the weather into account. Technology is changing so rapidly that the value of our PC components is depreciating at a frightening rate. Waiting a few months for a current generation part is not necessarily the best option, especially if those “few months” can stretch over several months. Under these circumstances, Dell offers an incredibly powerful and stylish gaming platform with all the unobtainable components you could hope for, at a reasonable price and time. The only other sensible option is to go for AMD.

A prominent right-wing activist with ties to many Colorado Republicans on Friday called for mass executions of politicians he called “traitors” to the country, including Governor Jared Polis and many US senators.

Joe Oltmann, founder and chairman of activist group FEC United and host of the “Conservative Daily” podcast, commented on the hanging of political opponents on his show throughout the week.

On Friday, Oltmann listened to his co-host, Max McGuire, read aloud the names of the 19 Senate Republicans who voted this week with Democrats to approve an 11-week interim spending bill, amid demands for extreme right to force the government to shut down. federal vaccine mandates for employers.

“There is your list of 19 traitors to the American people, plus all the other traitors to the American people,” Oltmann said in response. “I want people to go and get wood. The gallows widen and lengthen. We should be able to build gallows from Washington, DC to California. “

“We just have a series of executions of traitors across the United States of America,” Oltmann continued. “If you don’t find that funny, I think it’s kind of funny, actually. “

“This discussion makes me incredibly nervous,” McGuire replied.

Later on Friday’s show, Oltmann spoke about an online message replying to Polis, in which he said he called the governor a liar and a traitor.

“So that’s what I sent Governor Polis. Gallows. I had to stretch this rope, ”Oltmann said.

“Oh boy,” McGuire said.

“I’m funny,” Oltmann replied. “Why can’t you be a little funny?” I wish all traitors good luck.

Oltmann, a resident of Douglas County, is a leading figure among far-right deniers and has been helped spread a baseless conspiracy theory that Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems helped rig the 2020 election. Oltmann is a defendant in a libel suit filed by a former Dominion employee.

Kristi Burton Brown, currently president of the Colorado Republican Party, served as president of Oltmann’s FEC United group in November 2020, according to a deposition made by Oltmann in the defamation case. Burton Brown was elected state GOP chairman in March 2021.

George Brauchler, former 18th Judicial District attorney and former GOP candidate for attorney general, responded in September podcast interview concerns about his ties to Oltmann. PIN Business Network, a data services company formerly run by Oltmann, was an announcer for Brauchler’s own radio show.

“Joe is a friend,” Brauchler said at the time. “We do not agree on electoral matters. … I’m not running away from Joe, I’m always friendly with Joe.

Oltmann’s comments on Friday followed statements about an impending “civil war” made by Conservative militia leader John Tiegen during a live broadcast from FEC United this week. “I see a war coming, if we don’t stand together,” said Tiegen, founder of the United American Defense Force, which is affiliated with FEC United.

In previous episodes of “Conservative Daily” published earlier this week, Oltmann and McGuire discussed in more detail the executions of their political opponents.

“I went out and bought some lumber this weekend, Max, so I could build the gallows,” Oltmann said on Dec. 1. “So we will soon be building gallows all over the country, we can deal with all these traitors to our nation.

“I went to buy a bunch of ropes,” he added. “That way I can pull people behind my car when their body parts are falling, so it’s pretty far behind, there’s no blood on it. I don’t know if I have the right to say that here.

“I’m not sure why I’m going to give you this advice, I probably shouldn’t,” McGuire said, before explaining to Oltmann that soldiers executing prisoners of war in WWII had to stretch ropes for days. to make sure they haven’t broken.

“I’m telling you this just as a nice little history lesson, not as an add-on to everything that’s going on in your backyard,” McGuire said with a laugh.

“I’m not very good today,” Oltmann said. “I almost feel like I’m maybe getting a little too explicit that I want to hang them from the neck until they’re dead.”

CAZENOVIA – Now that snow removal season has arrived, road crews are asking for the cooperation and understanding of motorists. By the nature of the job, snow removal operations occur in poor visibility and drivers tend to follow plows too closely. The nature of road snow removal often requires snowplows to back up, usually at intersections, where they need to turn the corner, dump the snow load and back up before continuing, but all too often vehicles fill the space where the plow is. -snow must back in. Remember to leave enough space for the snowplow, especially at intersections.

Another important consideration is the center of the route. The center needs to be cleared of snow, forcing the left front portion of the plow to cross the center line and enter oncoming traffic. When you encounter an oncoming snow plow, you should slow down and move as far as possible to give the plow enough room to clear the center of the roadway.

Rural mailboxes and other roadside objects, such as parked vehicles, add to the difficulty of a snow plow operator’s job. Plow operators do their best to avoid these obstacles, but sometimes a damaged mailbox is the result of an oncoming vehicle not leaving enough room for the plow, forcing the operator to snow plow to get closer to the side of the road. When the occasional mailbox is hit during snow removal operations, you should know that under the highway code and commissioner’s regulations, the municipality is not required to repair or replace a damaged mailbox. It is important to remember that they are driving a large vehicle with a large, heavy front plow, side wing plow, sand and / or salt load with controls to apply sand and / or salt, which all must be operated by one person while operating the platform in poor visibility at all times of the day and night. NOTE: New York State VTL Section 1219 prohibits plowing, shoveling, or blowing snow on a highway.
