About 1,500 students prepare to walk at two fall launch ceremonies
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas will celebrate its fall class with two in-person opening ceremonies on Saturday, December 18 at Bud Walton Arena.
Graduates of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and Health Professions and students of the interdisciplinary program will compose the first ceremony starting at 8:30 am.
The second ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and will consist of students from the Faculty of Law, Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences, College of Engineering and Walton College of Business.
Graduating students will be grouped together at the start of each ceremony and attend the ceremony corresponding to their college.
Live streaming of both ceremonies will be available on the University of Arkansas YouTube channel.
The doors will open 60 minutes before each ceremony and guests are encouraged to be seated 15 minutes before the ceremony begins.
All guests should enter through the south entrance of Bud Walton Arena. Tickets are not required, but bags will be checked for security reasons. Compact umbrellas are permitted, but balls, wrapped packages, and strollers are not permitted in Bud Walton Arena. A complete list of prohibited items is available online.
Free parking is available in all unrestricted parking lots on campus. General car parks near Bud Walton Arena include lots 46, 47N, 47S, 56 and 74 (A, B, C and E).
Disabled drop-off is located at the south entrance to Bud Walton with disabled parking available in lot 60.

All students must check-in at the East Road Tunnel of the Bud Walton Arena 60 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Personal items are not permitted in student areas or on the arena floor during the ceremony. Students must also arrive with their badges.
Students are encouraged to download the University of Arkansas Graduation app from Google Play or Apple devices for graduation and start details, including useful information about applying to the. graduation, early attendance and graduation.
